A Global Day of Unity and Giving
In response to the unprecedented impacts brought on by the global pandemic, organizers have declared today, May 5th, #GivingTuesdayNow to motivate grassroots efforts to bring relief to nonprofits, communities and individuals during this trying time. The regular #GivingTuesday event, scheduled for Dec. 1st will still happen, but today, alongside charity partners across the globe, we ask everyone to open their hearts just a little early in whatever way they can.
OMA Pittsburgh is raising money for the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank, recognizing that the Covid pandemic has made circumstances even more difficult for those who are food insecure. Join our fundraising campaign.
Give Kindness and Compassion
More than anything, today is about standing together in unity. Whether it’s helping an elderly neighbor get groceries, sending a card of thanks to a first responder or sewing protective face masks for frontline workers, every small gesture of kindness will help us collectively heal in a big way.
