Marianne Williamson: Love America Tour

Marianne Williamson is an internationally acclaimed author and lecturer. For the last 35 years, she has been one of America’s most well known public voices, having been a popular guest on television programs such as Oprah, Larry King Live, Good Morning America, & Bill Maher. Seven of her twelve published books have been New York Times Best Sellers and four of these were #1. The mega best seller A Return to Love is considered a must-read of The New Spirituality. A paragraph from that book, beginning “Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure…” is considered an anthem for a contemporary generation of seekers.

Marianne’s other books include The Law of Divine Compensation, The Age of Miracles, Everyday Grace, A Woman’s Worth, Illuminata, Healing the Soul of America, A Course in Weight Loss, The Gift of Change, Enchanted Love, A Year of Miracles, and her newest book, Tears to Triumph: The Spiritual Journey from Suffering to Enlightenment.

Marianne is a native of Houston, Texas. In 1989, she founded Project Angel Food, a meals-on-wheels program that serves homebound people with AIDS in the Los Angeles area. To date, Project Angel Food has served over 11 million meals. Marianne also co-founded the Peace Alliance.

Marianne has dedicated her travel schedule during 2018 to the Love America Tour, articulating an evolutionary wave of new possibility as principles of higher consciousness are brought to bear on our politics.

ABOUT THE EVENT:
The times in which we’re living are dramatic and unstable, yet pregnant with new
possibilities for a future released from the shackles of fear. At a time when fear and hatred have been turned into a political force, is it possible to harness the powers of love and decency for political purposes as well?

In fact we must, for the survival of our democracy depends on it. Our task is to create a
new, whole-person politics, breaking free of a paradigm based on a decidedly outdated
view of the world and embracing a more enlightened understanding of our relation to the
universe. We need a deeper, multi-dimensional understanding of our national story:
where we have been, where we are, and where we need to go now.

As with other extraordinary times in our history — from our Founding to Abolition to
Women’s Suffrage to the Civil Rights era — it is time once again to break free of an old
way of being and embrace a new story going forward. As in the words of Abraham
Lincoln, “… we must think anew, and act anew. We must disenthrall ourselves, and then
we shall save our country.”

Marianne Williamson will be touring this year, discussing how a revolution in
consciousness paves the way to both personal and national renewal. In the words of
Martin Luther King, Jr., “Our goal is to create a beloved community and this will require
a qualitative change in our souls as well as a quantitative change in our lives.” Let us
embrace the possibility of both.

We hope you can join us for this inspirational evening!
