Living in harmony with our true nature as spirit...
Ayurveda, which literally means "The Science of Life," is the healing science from India. It has been practiced for over 5,000 years by millions of individuals to assist the body in journeying back to optimal health. More and more people are discovering that these ancient principles are easily applicable to modern life and that they have the power to create health and contentment. Health comes when we live in harmony with our true nature as spirit. Ayurveda allows us to get a glimpse of our individual true nature and to find the best ways to live a life of balance. It provides holistic understanding and healing to people on all levels: physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Ayurveda uses a multitude of healing modalities including herbs, diet, aromas, lifestyle recommendations, meditation, and yoga.
In this interactive workshop, we will discuss how to understand your constitution, and how this information can help you to find your unique state of balanced health. We will discuss how to use food as “medicine,” as well as how to improve digestion and increase immunity through simple Ayurvedic recipes and remedies.
We will start by:
- Taking a modern dosha questionnaire to learn your body/mind constitution
- Receive specific tips on how to utilize herbs and diet and other lifestyle practices to rejuvenate your health and reconnect with your true nature.
- How to create a balanced diet and lifestyle to suit your body type (dosha).
- Simple Daily Rituals for Optimal Digestion
- How to use Food as Medicine to relieve gas, heartburn, indigestion, and constipation
