An Awakening: An act of waking from sleep, or a moment of becoming suddenly aware of something.
In Lillie Leonardi's lifetime, she experienced several awakenings. Each evolved her to a higher level of spiritual awareness and growth. But none as miraculous as an angelic encounter on 9/11 at the Flight 93 crash site.
As a child, Lillie clearly recalls the high-pitched sounds heard in her ear, and reflections of a mysterious "Blue Man with Wings." As she progressed on her journey into adulthood, she witnessed many events that led to dark nights of the soul. Yet like many stories of awakening, the light always followed the dark.
Lillie's journey brought her to a place of divine grace and profound awareness that something greater than her was taking place. It also created a deeper consciousness and connection to the world – both physical and metaphysical.
After 25 years in law enforcement, Lillie Leonardi decided to pursue her lifetime passion for writing. In 2013, Lillie shared her experience as a responder on 9/11 in her first non-fiction book, In the Shadow of a Badge, which sold over 30,000 copies globally. Her gripping personal account of the 12 days she spent acting as an FBI liaison between the law enforcement and social service agencies carries you into a world that combines the factual and logistical with the angelic and mystical.
With her second release in 2016, Lillie shared her life-long spiritual journey in, The White Light of Grace: Reflections on the Life of a Spiritual Intuitive. With her eldest grandchild, Lillie self-published the eBook, Before I Go through Amazon Kindle Publishing in 2016.
