Courage is not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. – Nelson Mandela
Courage is what allows us to face conflict, difficulty, trauma or adversity, in either physical, mental or emotional experiences. Courageous acts are usually in the presence of fear. When we step into fear from a deep place of knowing within ourselves and choose to risk the vulnerability required to face fear with courage, we begin our journey back to ourselves in healing and remembering the truth of who we have always been.

Surviving and healing from trauma requires multiple acts of courage in thousands of small moments. Resiliency is the result of taking the steps to reclaiming one’s life and steps to reclaiming oneself after the loss and devastation of trauma. Courage is the fuel that enables us to heal and to grow as we continue to find the light in the darkness with each courageous step.
In this webinar, panelists will share their insights on recovering from trauma through life stories and the experiences that have supported them on their path to healing. Panelists will also share holistic practices that may help those who have suffered similar traumatic experiences.
This panel conversation is part of OMA's Trauma Program, designed for the sharing of stories around our diverse life experiences and exploring the connections among us all. Join us on Thursday, September 16 at 6:30 when we explore Courage as a crucial tool in healing from Trauma and learn how to make fear a friend that guides us into places where we all can soar and thrive individually, relationally, and in our communities.
