Intuition is the ability to understand something instinctively, without the need for conscious reasoning. It is a feeling and not an emotion. Dan Siegel, MD states that “trauma is an experience we have that overwhelms our capacity to cope” and it is imperative for trauma survivors to be able to differentiate between intuition guiding us and our traumas misinforming or misleading us.

When trauma occurs, we often experience a dissociation or disconnection from self. We lose touch with our intuition and no longer trust ourselves and our own inner voice or intuition. However, our intuition is always available to help guide us back home to self and knowing our truth. Join us for an evening of conversation on healing from trauma and modalities that can help guide us to reconnect with our intuition.

In this webinar, panelists will share their insights on intuition through life stories and experiences that have supported them on their path to reconnecting to themselves and healing from trauma. We will explore holistic practices including tapping/EFT, a third eye chakra meditation, and other ways to “tap” into our intuition.

As Martha Beck writes, ...your intuition helps you make choices based on what you actually want. It helps you avoid trouble, draws you toward positive situations and away from negative ones. It circumvents your intellect—which can tell you all kinds of inaccurate, critical, self-defeating things—and instead guides you based on what your body, your very essence, knows to be true.

We are always invited to break out of our old ways of suffering, to listen to our truth, our intuition, our inner knowing and to experience the joy and freedom of coming home to stillness.

This panel conversation is part of OMA's Trauma program, designed for the sharing of stories around our diverse life experiences and exploring the connections among us all. Join us on Wednesday, June 30 at 6:30 as we explore ways to reconnect and guide us as we work to create a new normal.

Panelists: Marilyn Carpenter, Deb Carter, Callie Gropp, Angela Failor, Elizabeth Homlish, Gail Hunter, Liza Vivio  See past panelists.

YOU ARE NOT ALONE... Others have walked this path before you, including the panelists in this series. We are all connected on this journey of healing, of both self and humanity, from our own individual traumas as well as our collective traumas.
